Who Am I?
My name is Serena (she/her), I am a registered Social Worker providing neurodivergent counselling services. My services focus on enhancing your day to day life in areas that you may struggle with as neurodivergent.
What Do I Do?
I specialize in supporting those who experience Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD), Executive Dysfunction, Sensory Sensitivities, Social/Communication Difficulties, Impulsivity, Distractibility, Emotional Regulation, Anxiety, Depression, Energy Fluctuations, and any other topics you bring with you to our sessions. Our sessions are an LGBTQP+ safe space.
My knowledge base includes both personal and professional experiences with neurodivergence and living a neurodivergent lifestyle.
What Are My Qualifications?
I graduated with my BSW from Trent University in 2020 and am expecting to complete my MSW from University of Windsor in Spring 2024. I have over 5 years of combined experience in social work roles working with populations with physical and cognitive disabilities as well as those experiencing domestic violence, trauma, grief, poverty, sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, heterosexism, and homelessness.
What Kind of Counselling Do I Offer?
I take a person-centred approach to therapy that allows you to lead our sessions and work collaboratively towards your goals.
I use a variety of counselling methodologies including:

- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Solution- Focused Therapy
- Strengths-Based Therapy
- Psychoeducational Therapy
